Hear from our clients…
It’s such a relief to talk to someone who actually gets what it’s like being LGBTQ+. No weird looks, no judgment—just real support. I can finally be myself.
They really understand what it’s like growing up with Asian family expectations. I didn’t have to explain everything from scratch. Therapy helped me find a way to set boundaries without feeling like I was disrespecting my culture.
I honestly couldn’t do therapy if it weren’t for the evening and weekend times. They really work around my schedule, and it never feels rushed. Super knowledgeable and easy to talk to.
I was completely burnt out from work. As a healthcare worker, I’m used to putting others first—but therapy helped me draw the line and get some balance back.
I used to feel like anxiety was running the show. Now, I’ve actually got tools that help. I finally feel like I’m in the driver’s seat.
It’s so ADHD-friendly here. The sessions have structure, but there’s also room to adapt depending on how my brain’s working that day. No judgment—just stuff that actually helps.
For the first time in a long time, I feel safe opening up. It’s clear they really understand trauma, and the way they show up—it just makes healing feel doable.
I was totally running on empty. Therapy helped me reset, figure out where to draw the line, and start feeling like myself again.

Breakup Counselling FAQs
Is this program covered by insurance?
Yes, we offer direct billing with most major Canadian insurance providers, including Sun Life, Manulife, Canada Life, and Pacific Blue Cross — the same coverage that applies across our other counselling services.
What happens after the three sessions — can I keep going if I need more time?
Yes. Heartbreak doesn’t always wrap up on a fixed timeline, so if three sessions isn’t quite enough, you can continue on with ongoing individual counselling afterward. Your therapist will help you figure out if that’s the right next step.
Is this only for the person who got broken up with, or does it work if I ended things?
It works either way. Whether you were the one who left, the one who got left, or it was mutual, the emotional process of grief, identity, and figuring out what’s next still applies — this isn’t about assigning blame, it’s about helping you process and move forward.
What if my ex and I still have to be in contact — co-workers, mutual friends, co-parenting, and so on?
That’s really common, and worth bringing up directly with your therapist. A lot of the work in this program — boundaries, emotional regulation, redefining the relationship — is exactly what helps make ongoing contact more manageable, even when a clean break isn’t possible.
Is this only for recent breakups, or can it help even if it's been a while?
Either. Some people start right after a breakup while emotions are still raw, and others come back to it months or years later when they notice old patterns resurfacing in new relationships — there’s no expiry date on wanting to heal from it properly.
What if there's still a chance we might get back together — should I do this, or couples counselling instead?
If you’re both open to reconciling and want to work on it together, couples counselling (or discernment counselling, if you’re not sure which direction to go) is likely the better fit. This program is built for your own individual healing, regardless of how things end up with your ex.
