Hear from our clients…
It’s such a relief to talk to someone who actually gets what it’s like being LGBTQ+. No weird looks, no judgment—just real support. I can finally be myself.
They really understand what it’s like growing up with Asian family expectations. I didn’t have to explain everything from scratch. Therapy helped me find a way to set boundaries without feeling like I was disrespecting my culture.
I honestly couldn’t do therapy if it weren’t for the evening and weekend times. They really work around my schedule, and it never feels rushed. Super knowledgeable and easy to talk to.
I was completely burnt out from work. As a healthcare worker, I’m used to putting others first—but therapy helped me draw the line and get some balance back.
I used to feel like anxiety was running the show. Now, I’ve actually got tools that help. I finally feel like I’m in the driver’s seat.
It’s so ADHD-friendly here. The sessions have structure, but there’s also room to adapt depending on how my brain’s working that day. No judgment—just stuff that actually helps.
For the first time in a long time, I feel safe opening up. It’s clear they really understand trauma, and the way they show up—it just makes healing feel doable.
I was totally running on empty. Therapy helped me reset, figure out where to draw the line, and start feeling like myself again.

Common Worries Parents Bring to Us
Does my child attend these sessions, or is this different from Child/Teen Counselling?
This program is for you as the parent — built around your own patterns, emotional regulation, and communication skills, not sessions with your child directly. If you’d also like your child to have their own space to work through things with a therapist, that’s what Child or Teen Counselling is for, and plenty of parents do both alongside each other.
Can both parents or caregivers attend, or is it just one parent?
The program is built around your own reflection and skill-building, so it typically centers on one parent — but if you’d like a co-parent or partner involved too, just mention it when booking and we can talk through what makes sense for your family.
Is this for parents of young kids, or does it work for parents of teens too?
Either. The program focuses on your own patterns, communication, and emotional regulation as a parent, which applies whether your child is six or sixteen — the specific challenges you bring to your therapist will just shape how it’s applied.
What if my parenting challenges are more about disagreeing with my partner on approach than with my kid directly?
That’s very much part of what this program covers — Session 3 specifically works on communication and understanding your partner’s perspective, not just your child’s, since parenting conflicts between co-parents often show up in how the whole family functions.
Is this program covered by insurance?
Yes, we offer direct billing with most major Canadian insurance providers, including Sun Life, Manulife, Canada Life, and Pacific Blue Cross — the same coverage available across our other services.
What happens after the three sessions if I want to keep working on this?
Three sessions gives you a solid foundation, but parenting is an ongoing process, so plenty of people continue with individual counselling afterward to keep building on it. Your therapist can help you figure out what’s worth continuing, and if your child could also benefit from their own support, that’s an easy add from there too.
